Motorola P50 question

I picked up a low band VHF P50 that was thrown in in a trade for some 1250's I wanted. Does anyone have any Info. on this radio ?
Is it crystal or programmable?
I was thinking it might be fun to put on 52.525

P50's are crystal controlled. Contrary to popular belief, the P50 PLUS is not programmable except for CTCSS. If you want to use pl tones on P50's you have to get a retrofit for it if it doesn't already have it. I love those for their size and ruggedness, but it really is a pain to recrystal them. And I am referring to the very first edition of P50's. Before they came out with orange and yellow cases for them.
