CPS Install problem

I'm attempting to install Astro Saber / XTS 3000 CPS v. R02000 on my pent 3, 500 running XP-pro and I get the following install error:

An Installation support file C:|Document~1\myname\Locals~1\temp\{FC404F35-0692-11d5-a769-0010b575ae4F} readme.txt could not be installed

The Parameter is Incorrect.

What is going on ? I've also attempted to install in XP safe mode but I get the same error.

Are you set up as an administrator?

I have seen that problem for an ordinary user when trying to install CPS.

Make sure you have read/write priveleges to the temp and system directories.

Yes, I am.

I even tried to install it in the XP safe mode and the same thig happens.
