XTS 3000 Whored out flashcode

Post by mtr12222 »

Do features of the 591008-4F1E00-9 flash code in the XTS 3000's function correctly?

What are your experiences with getting depot service and flashport upgrades on parts built radios? Price in of no concern with depot service but will big M touch a radio with that flashcode and/or built from parts?

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

9 times out of 10, the depot will take your money and do what you want them too. As with any "unoffical" radio, you run the risk and it may come back with a stripped down flashcode. A few people have sent in their XTS's and have them comeback without a problem.

Will they come back with the correct serial # and flashport tags?

I had to send in my ASIII some time ago, it went in with a soup to nuts flashcode and came back plain as can be, Luckily i worked for an MSS at the time and sent it back in complaining about what they did. I told them that "the customer" refused to pay the bill because the flashcode was wrong, still all they would flash it to was 500008-0000001 but the radio works flawlessly and in actualityi really dont use the radio to its full potential anyway.
