I have several conventional personalities programmed in my ASTRO Saber with RX only. However, they show up with the talkaround/direct icon "|-->" on the radio display. The channels DO NOT transmit, so I'm wondering what might be programmed incorrectly.

All are same frequency and were copied using the original entry.

If I change frequency just slightly, the icon goes away.

The personalities in question are all programmed as RX only.

Scan lists are Priority = Selected channel.

Anytime you have the same tx/rx freq's on a channel, or rx only, the arrow will appear, that is normal.

Agree. Same goes for XTS-3000's. RX only channels show the talkaround indicator.

I just checked my VHF Astro Saber III. The talkaround arrow indicator is NOT shown on RX only channels.

Jason,

Are yours RX only, or the tx/rx pair (which channels, I'll look at the plug when I get into work tonight)

My xts-3000 has rx only on many channels, and both astro and non-astro personalities DO NOT show the talkaround icon. The channels that I have programmed which are same transmit and receive do show the icon, which they should,of course.

It may be a DSP/HOST issue with firmware. I have the same flashcode in two radios, and they have different DSP/HOST verison. Some small little things pop up different between the radios, but nothing to do with functionality, just little things here and there.

This should fix it.

go to the channel which is doing it then disable the rx only mode, once you have all the tx data on the screen, disable the talkaround feature then enable the rx only feature.

That should fix it.
