RR MCX100 radios use an 18 pin 2k x 4 PROM on the synthesizer board to contain a major portion of the controlling information for the radio. The service manual contains only the Motorola part number for a pre-programmed PROM, and this part has been obsoleted by Motorola. Anybody have a part number for a generic PROM that I might be able to find and program?
Update:
OK. I now know the device type. It is a SN82S185 tri-state Schottky PROM. And I've found some of them, even though they were discontinued by Signecits about 10 years ago. Now...without having to spend the big bucks to buy an 1801 programmer, does anybody have any ideas for a good programmer that will clone 82S series PROMs?

Yep,
The programmer sold by JDR Microdevices will do the job. If you need to program a few from a binary file or copy form another PROM I would be willing to do it for you.
