mt1000 programming

Want to set up a channel on MT1000 to activate on QCII only. Want to use it as a fire pager so i dont here other traffic on the channel until it opens up with QCII tone. Is this radio capable of this.

ABSOLUTEY IS! Go into the QCII menu and setup your A and B tones. Next go to the mode that you want to use the tones on and set the squelch to QCII decode. Once the radio is successfully programmed, select the mode, place the switch in the slashed speaker position, and hit the monitor button once. Afte rthe monitor nutton is pressed, the audio will not umute until it receives the programmed tone sequence. Just like a real pager! Except, its about 5 times the weight!
