I am suposed to be doing an install in a new Ford Taurus, but I cant remember the year. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any firewall access points? Also, are there any good ignition switched fuse block locations I can look for. I will be installing an ancient Midland and a Sho-Me Siren.
It may be a 96' , it looks like the one below:

If you want to use a factory grommett, that has plenty of room, remove the fuse block. Pretty much all you need to do is, remove the (2) 7/16 or 1/2" nuts, pull the bottom out and pull down towards the floorboard.
Follow the hood release cable to the firewall and that grommet has enough room to accomodate most anything you need to pass through.
