astro saber III VHF codeplug problems......

Post by wazzzzzzzzup »

i have an astrosaber III VHF 136-162 great radio but i have several nagging problems that i cant seem to get resolved....

1. whenever the tech goes into set up call lists or status lists, the moment he sellects "ADD" it crashes he tried 4 versions of programs, running on a slow pentium 1. that really frustrates me, as i would like to get MDC call alert setup so i can alert and radio check my friends.

2. the unit transmits PL just fine, but it wont decode pl, this is radio wide, so i wonder if there is a pl recieve adjustment somewhere. pl/csq has been set up on the top left switch, so it will go into decode mode, it just wont open the squelch when propper pl is heard. i can click out to CSQ and all is open squelch, that is fine.

this ASIII is a VSELP model with a 512 board, radio made in 1995
its flash is really basic, it does smartnet trunking and vselp astro/conventional.

i wonder if another codeplug would work if it can be configured with MDC call systems then dumped into the radio i have

thanks
