CPS Updates Now Available On MOL and CD-ROM

I imagine a lot of Batlabers already know this, but...

CPS Updates, such as CPS 4.0 that was released on Dec 15, 2003, now are supplied via two separate Motorola distribution channels. First, it shows up on your https:// MOL Account, but you MUST make sure to use your regular Motorola Account Number when you initially subscribed to MOL. It shows up on your MOL Account completely automatically! KEWL! My CPS 4.0 update was on my MOL on Dec 15, the first day it was released. Secondly, Motorola will ALSO UPS the hard copy CD-ROM CPS update to your normal shipping address. I received the CD-ROM on the 29th, so it trailed the MOL download version by 2 weeks. (I called Motorola on this to ask about the CD-ROM delay. They said this was largely due to the Christmas rush. Otherwise, they said the CD-ROM will normally be received much closer to the download available date.)

BTW, for downloading the CPS 4.0 update from MOL, be aware that it is a 45 Meg zipped file, so you will need a cable hi speed connection.

4.01 is out for the XTS 2500/5000/XTL/SSE radios.
