MINITOR 4 ON/OFF DUTY FUNCTION?
CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE ON/OFF DUTY FUNCTION DOES ON A MINITOR 4? IN THE HELP FIELD IT SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT THE ADDRESS BEING EITHER FUNCTIONAL (ON) OR NON-FUNCTIONAL (OFF). CAN ANYONE HELP?
If you have 2 or 3 different tone groups that are used the on/of duty can be used to select between them.
Example:
My ambulance squad has a primary tone.. and backup crew tone. THe nights that I am not volunteering I have it set up so D will alert for the backup tones and not the primary tones. But during the day(when I ride most of the calls anyway) I'll leave it on A which is set to receive both tones.
Make some sense? Basically when setup when you are "ON" Duty it will alert for all tones in the pager. THe pager tones that are set for OFF duty will only alert in the off duty position.
