Can you use a Motorola Spectra 800 mhz on a EF Johnson trunked system?
Thanks

No.
Somewhat oversimplified, trunked radio works but having a controller issue, and the field units respond to, control commands (usually over a dedicated data channel). In order to work over a given type of trunked system, the field unit has to have the capability of being programmed to recognize and respond to those commands. Where, as in the case of Motorola trunked systems, the firmware required for that task is proprietary, protected, and not shared, it isn't going to work.
