I need a code plug CHIP that is known good to test my MCX100 VHF radio. It receives good but I think the code plug chip in it is not programmed correctly for transmitt. It looks like someone tried to program it in the 146 ham band.

Hello,

If you give me the range (K1 or K2) I may have a pull-out PROM to sent you. The VHF comes in two frequency ranges K1- 136-150 and K2-150 to 175. Both ranges will cover the Ham band but have different programming (steering bits) for the VCO.

Mike, I am pretty sure it is a K2 150 to 160 range, that is what was on the inside cover original label. I need somthing in 153 to 158 range for testing before I spend more money and find out the radio does not transmit. I never worked on one of these before, but have fixed lots of Spectras and Maxtracs/Radius mobiles.
