xts3000 software encryption.

Post by bhaguan »

Ok, there is much talk about this but no difinitive answer that I could find.

Q : Does the software encryption flash option actually work for the xts3000? And if so what are its requirements?

Q : Assuming it does/can work, does RSS (9.05) allow the loading of software encryption keys?

I understand that SE offers little real world security.

Ok, that pretty much sorts that one out.

Oh, btw, when I had a saber plug stuffed into my xts3k the softenc worked fine. Truely bizzare, but hey thats what makes life fun.

Well, software encryption is 8bit, is it not?

I can't see a practical use for software encryption for any real security, but it'd do an effective job of making a digital scanner useless.
