Anyone use the R2670 and AutoTest software for XTS3000

Post by Alan »

Has anyone used the R2670 and the new AutoTest package for the XTS3000/astro saber?

Looks slick. Does it work well?

Thanks, Alan

I am also interested to know if anyone has tried this product. GD supplies a demo version of the Autotest program with new 2670's or you can get it from them if you already have an instrument.

We are hoping to play with the demo version in the next couple of weeks, but feedback about the real thing would be appreciated. If costs enough that you would want to be sure before ordering.

US List Pricing is as follows:
RVN5012A $2,000
RVN5013A $2,000
RVN5016A $3,800

Looks very cool, sort of like the auto-test cellular packages in certain analyzers. We have a 2670, but don't do enough work with Astro portables to make it worthwhile. I think we've looked at less than a dozen in the past 4 years.

The Auto Test works quite well. The problem is with the support and documentation. Zero Documentation  The demo shows the XTS5000. There are differences in the XTS3000 setup like needing a RIB and a special adapter on the RLN4460 test box. Also the graphics show the testing being done with the old RTX4005A test box. I had many questions and I was very clear and specific with my questions, but General Dynamics acted like they couldn't figure out what I was talking about and that nobody else had asked these questions
