Why do I not have any audio output at all from my 32 ch UHF Maxtrac. It was used in our units previously although I cannot remember whether it had an external speaker at that time or not. Now the radio works well, but there is simply no audio. Is there an option for this in the RSS, I did not see anything.

Hi:

With respects to the Motorola Maxtrac / Radius Mobiles, there are ( 2 ) types of
Audio / Logic Boards that effect the Audio.

1. The 5 Pin version has a " Internal " plug
that sometimes pulls off the board, or the speaker / or Audio PA may have become defective.

2. The 16 pin version has a " Jumper" on the
acc'y block that requires the use of aacc'y
plug with the appropriate 16 pin Dongle

Some early Maxtracs were shipped without ANY internal speaker or wiring when they were ordered with external speakers.
