I know this is off beat for the newsgroups here but I was wondering if anyone had any 438-470 or the higher split codeplugs as I corrupted mine and need a new one. Its for a UHF astro saber II
I will pay for the c/p if you have the one thast I need. I will even pay someone if they are in my vicinity (NY-NJ-CT) to get this radio back to its original state. I spoke to a motorola systems engineer today and he said that If I could find a codeplug which was virtually identical to the one that was in there, I "should" be OK and he also told me that since the radio was monkeyed with Lab he advised against me trying to get it fixed under the warrantee and or flat rate.
HELP>>>>>
Please let me know,Email me at [email protected]
Thanks

This is interesting: You actually admitted to a labtool related screwup and he was actually helpful enough to say that you could probably fix it with a similar codeplug?
Did he offer to send you such a codeplug, by chance? Did you ask?
I'm not sure which is the odder case: admitting to screwing with lab to a Motorolan, or that he's willing to help fix it.
Oh, well. Best of luck with it. If they are actually willing to help, then do us all a big favor and try to remember who it was that you spoke to, and what his extension is. This would be a nice guy to deal with from time to time!
Wow...a real human being at Motorola. Whoda thunkit?
Anyway, I'm not ticked off about that anymore...not much. This was a really, REALLY good learning experience for you and I hope that you keep it on file so you don't make that mistake again.

Elroy,
I did speak to a person at motorola whom I have dealt with many times and he knows me personally that is the only reason he offered me any advice ( I think so anyway) but regardless, I did tell about lab and he said that he believed that it was a good shot but could not guarantee that it would "fix" the unit.
I will however be buying the software as I just received the lisc. agreement today.
I have contacted a person whom I know has an identical radio, flash code, model #, dsp and all and hopefully he will send me copy of the c/p and I can make the radio right again from there, otherwise I have an expensive paperweight.
Elroy, I wanted to ask you- Aside from the above remedy (which I hope works) Did you have any other suggestions which you think might work to get this radio back to normal operation?
Just want to cover my options in case I am unable to get the c/p from him.
Your help/input is appreciated and also wanted to tell you that YES I sure did learn my lesson and will NEVER do such a stupid thing like this again for it has made my nerves on edge for quite the past few days.
