I own a XTS3000 VHF
it has OTAR functions, how do I know what encription it has,I am thinking that it also has des-xl can someone help me

Power the unit on. Once the radio completes self-check, press the button above TX five times. The radio should read SERVICE, then echo out several screens of information. You're interested in the values for KG1, KG2, KG3.

OTAR in the flashcode != secure module in the radio.

SERVICE SAYS KG1 DES-OFB ,KG2 DES-XL. I HAVE A KEYLOADER AND I INSERT A KEY, BUT IT STILL SAYS "KEY FAIL" KEYLOADER SAYS "PASS" WHICH MEANS THAT IT SUCCESSFULLY INSERTED KEY BUT THE RADIO PERSIST IN SAYING "KEY FAIL UPON TRANSMIT.
