XTS5000 Hyperterminal Commands

Post by USGOVTECH »

Ok here is a bid of info. It is apparent that the XTS5000 can be accessed using hyperterminal. I wonder what can be accessed from hyperterminal. I had problems when I installed the Astro 25 CPS and the software would not program the radio, so I canned /\/\. They hadme try a few things and finally told me to try hyperterminal and type the command (AT) which communicates with the radio and the radio sends back OK. I bet there are more commands that can be accessed using this process, does anyone have any thing else to add ?

Not surprising -- If you connect the XTS5000 to your PC using the USB cable, you will see the Windows plug & play Device Manager categorize the radio as a MODEM. Then you can double-click the icon, go to Diagnostics, and query modem. I've sent a few AT commands to the radio once before but I forgot what kind of replies it gave back (I don't have that POS radio anymore)

Well, /\/\ suggested that I deinstall the software and install the latest windows installer, I did such, reinstalled the CPS and all is well.
