Astro Saber III programing question...

Post by njemt129 »

I am extremly new to Astro series radios, I have just finished reading the newbie guide but one of my questions was unanswered. With regard to programming an Astro Saber model III, aside from the Astro cable, RIB, and the software, what else is needed? I am talking in terms of frequencies. I know normally with a radio such as the HT1000, I would need the RX/TX frequencies along with the pl/dpl. For an Astro Saber, what else would I need. I am trying to use the radio in conjuntion with my ems job where our township operates on a digital system. Thank you to all in advance.

You would also need to know the Astro network ID if it does not use the standard 293 ID.

Also if it is a trunked system there are more parameters you will need.

Best bet is if you are authorized to use the radio on the system then have the person who does the radio programming take care of it as they will be familiar with all parameters applicable to your system.
