CAN YOU CHANGE AN MT1000 FROM VHF TO UHF JUST BY USING THE RSS & ANTENNA?

Absolutely not! No Motorola radio can be changed so easily. The RF board is entirely different.

What radios do you own?: JT1000, Spectras, CB-555, 540

Hello

In short NO.

You would need to change the RF decks and controller. You might as well trade it to someone who needs that band for one in the band you desire.

Hi:

Only Real way of making
a change of that type is to find
someone willing to make a trade,or
buy one.

They are pretty common, just look
for one in good condition.

Although you can " manipulate" the Controller
into beleiving its a different radio in the
RSS, if you try, it will disable the radio
functions until its original code plug is
restored.

The Radio has " Hardware" componets in the Mother board which determines its range and
if its a Low Band, VHF, or UHF radio...
