Can anyone tell me if it is possible to decode MDC1200 (Like the HT1250 does) on this radio? What I mean is every time a radio squacks this radio will display the ID #????
I looked all through the software, this is the first time I have programmed this new radio and I could not find it.
Thanks in advance

Check the list of available options via the flashcode decoder ring (Batlabs...utilities department) and see if that option is in your radio's flashcode. If it's not, you won't get it without a flash upgrade. Or by a dastardly trick...some people do them, I gather...but I have no further info on them.
Only that they exist, based on some "impossible" codeplugs I've encountered.

As I said, you can check it yourself by using the decoder that's available in the utilities section at batlabs.com. Using the interactive version, it says that your radio DOES have the option you want.
Getting it working is a bit touchy. You have to enable the option in several places in the RSS, and the radio has to have an MDC system enabled for EACH personality that you want to have ID display capability on. It's not a universal option at the press of one button, you have to enable it for EACH personality individually.
If you have the RSS user's manual, dive into it. It'll help. You have to search all over the RSS to get it set up right, but it will work. It's amazing how reliable the feature is, actually. I can decode ID's under conditions where the voice signal is unintelligible.
