I read in another thread that a GMRS Repeater operator did away with FRS interference by using DPL. Are the current FRS/GMRS radios unable to use the Motorola DPL codes? Thanks in advance.

Some newer FRS units made by Motorola, Uniden, and Cobra have DPL. Most FRS radios only have 38 PL tones and a few DPL, not the full 64 standard PL and 100 something DPL codes. All you have to do is find a code that the cheap FRS radios won't work on. If you need the tones that they can/can't work on, let me know and I can find/post them for you. [email protected]

Hi Mark,
Yes I would like you to post the dpl codes that the FRS/GMRS walmart specials cannot use. I'm sure anyone who has,or, like myself who is considering putting up a GMRS repeater would like to have this info. Thanks,Shaun
