I have one with a sticky PTT. Dumb question... how do I open it up ?? Big Hammer ??

I took one (several) apart to 'rewire' it to work on a HAM radio. It took several tries before I finally got one that didn't break apart. There are two clips on either side that snap together. Make sure you do all the mods on it before you snap it back together, 'cause it is a pain in the but to get them apart.

Also, if you are the desperate type, and
can take the rear hosuing off the back, you
most likley will find the " PTT " Lever is
Broken, and the only thing pushing the PTT
button out is the spring loaded tension on
the switch....That many times will cause them
to " Stick " as the broken pieces of plastic
are not mated anylonger.
And, yes you can order the PTT lever for a
Sealed Mic...Go Figure.
