is it possible to take a 16 pin logic board form a 800mhz maxtrac and use it to replace a 5 pin vhf board? i do have the ability to take the board and get it blanked. thanks.

Yes, if it is a conventional 800. Still yes if it is trunking with an exception that the firware chip needs to be changed from a trunked version to a conventional version. Jumper J601 is moved back to the "A" normal position when changing from trunked to conventional also.

Hi:

Important things to " Remember " and write
down !

BEFORE removing the old logic board, make
SURE you write down all the Soft pot values
in the Service Screen so you can transfere
all the data from the Old Borad to the New
One.( That is Blank of course )

You will ALSO NEED the FIRMWARE CHIP 5.34 !

I have some if you do not have one.

That will save you hours of "re-alighnment"
time.
