Just omit the un-needed wires. You end up with just 3 wires, one straight through jumper & one resistor.

The 3 wires are as follows:

DB-25-----------Radio Acc

1----------------> 7
15---------------> 8
25---------------> 12

Actually, I was wrong, there are two jumpers. On the radio accessory connector end, jumper pins 8 & 9. On the DB-25 end, jumper pins 4 & 11.

The 10K resistor goes between pins 1 & 15 on the DB-25 end.

I am only going by the drawing on BatLabs here:

http://www.batlabs.com/images/1550svc.gif

I haven't made this cable myself.

Anyone else made a cable from that diagram? I don't like the fact it shows the TX & RX data (pins 8 & 9 on the radio accessory connector) are shorted together. Also don't like the fact it shows pin "8" as "0", and labels "bus-" as "dug-"? Oh, and don't overlook the "Doot Ctrl" lines!

RADIO FOR SALE!!
Just kidding - I just don't know about this stuff sometimes. I have done just about everything you can do to make this cable work. I has to be the rib. I have looked over the print for the rib and all looks good. I have programed four radios today with it, but it still will not work with the ht750 and cable I made for it. When the cable is plugged in the data led comes on and stays on. The battery in the rib is new, the radio is on with a fresh battery. Errrrrr....If I remove the resistor the led goes out. I have replaced the resister two times. Just can't figure it out. Thanks fellas for the help.

Well, I know the motorola rib only has the power led. My good rib is at work. I don't want to drive the 30 miles in there and than get stuck there, you know how that is?. So,I am using a clone. It's the first time it has every done this for me. I know what your thinking, if you don't use the motorola rib than your just asking for trouble. I will just wait until monday and take it to work and do it there. When I started doing the programming at work we used this rib. We picked up the motorola rib and I took this one home. So you will here no more of this until it doesn't work on monday. Thanks Again for the help - Darrell

Well, I programmed the radio at work and I now have a fully programmed radio. The cloned rib didn't work, the motorola rib did.
Thanks for all the help. Why does it take some people so long to believe that cloned and off brand equipment does not perform? One day I may change my ways. Thanks very much guys for all the help you have given me on this problem. Darrell
