I have Motorola DTMF mic HMN1037B, and I have had some complaints that it sounds too soft. Anyone know what I have to adjust to get it to sound better? Thanks.

The HMN1037B is a Maxtrac 100/300 or Radius M10/M100/M120/M130/M208/
M216/GM300 microphone. The parts guide said this microphone is for the Maxtrac 100/300 only, not the other Maxtrac models. Are you using it with one of the above mobile radios?

These DTMF microphones are factory customized internally to work with particular radio models. Resistor R19 in the microphone amplifier circuit is one of the "customized" parts. If you use them on a different radio then they are setup for you may have problems.
