I see we have a new mod. Congrats msisco9939

The General forum is where users can discuss any topic regarding Motorola communications equipment - hardware, software, etc. There are also several focused forums on this board, so please take the time to ensure that your questions doesn't fall into one of those categories before posting here!

Congratulations Monty!

A big thanks to all of the hard working folks- moderators, contributors, and otherwise, who make this forum possible!

Thanks for the quick action on some of the recent problems.

Looks like the signal to noise ratio around here is improving.....

Bat Wing decided to make Monty a moderator of the forum, which means that between Bat Wing, Elroy, and Monty, they have ultimate say about the way we conduct ourselves around there. They have the ability to edit posts, as well as delete or lock topics as they see fit, and when it is in the very best interestest of the board, or the person writing the post.

The board that I run at http://radio.the161.net has a few different moderators who have approached me and based on their expertiese, i have placed them as moderators of a group of forums (like kenwood for example). Most of my interest lies with Motorola stuff, I run the board mostly because I'd like to learn more about other product lines out there, and in my oppinion (and findings) I haven't found another board out there that seems to have a decent amount of support, or really look that good to keep me coming back. Since I'm an IT Geek as well, I figured why not. I also don't have time to research every post that's put up on my board, and if there's someone else who is going to know if something appropriate or not, why not let them worry about the problem and report back to me with what needs to happen, or deal with the issue themselves.

Anyway, Monty, Elroy, Bat, you all do a good job keep the board up and running, and sane where possible

Thanks for a good job.

Yes, Bravo for Monty, as I have had the pleasure of recently speaking with Monty about a repeater problem, and not only did he answer my questions, but he took the time to explain the hows and whys. Not too many techs out there who even have a clue any more. This board is great.

Congrats, Monty.

I have personally met with Monty, and he is a profesional. He is kinda like me in the way he is able to work out engineering problems in the equipment, he is a valuable asset here on the BatBoard.

<b><font color=lime>Hi:

I wish to thank all the Professional
persons & radio enthusiasts who made
the recommendation and has supported
Batlabs. I will do my best to live up to
the expectations of the group as a whole.

The Job is appreciated, and sometimes
may be tough to satisfy every ones taste.

Who would have ever known the popularity
of this group would have moved from the
few, too the thousands, and bring such a
incredible wealth of knowledge and service
tips to one Central location for the benefit
of Newcomers and Professionals alike.

It is truly hoped that with the growth
of the group, so will increase the growth
of knowledge of persons who are deep
in the heart of Motorola Radios and will
continue to assert and support the rules
of the board.

Monty
