I bought a 6ch and from someone and i was wondering if i could do that while i was waiting for it to come in. 2) has anyone ever got more channels than 40 out of a 32 channel Maxtrac? Thanks in advance. I like the idea of everyone posting there vehicle installs!!!

A 6-channel P110 should convert to a 16-channel no problem, the micro is only different for the post '93 2-channels. As far as the Maxtrac, I think you're limited by the size of the eeprom. Perhaps if one were to use the eeprom suggested on BatLabs for the 99-channel lowband it would work.

I have sucessfully converted a P43QLC20E2AA
which if my memory serves me correctly was a 6 channel P110. I know it was a P110, but don't remember the number of channels. It functions as a GP300 16 channel and I haven't heard a complaint from the user yet.

There is no problem converting the earlier
models, however the later ones seem to have
the firmware changed. I have had a 1996 and
a 1997 P110 6 channel programmed to a 16
channel with the special rss and it seems to
take the programming fine, however when you
read the radio, it still reads as a p110 6 Channel radio. Anyone else have this problem?
