repeater pairs

Post by Ett1033 »

Are their designated repeater pairs for narrow band 150-159.XXX? Where can I find these? I want to do some research before submitting an application for license.
Thanks...

Pairs.

Hello.

Except for some pre-defined services, like marine, mobile telephone, and taxicab, there are no pairs.
You will also find that it is very hard to get repeater pairs for VHF, as you must jusify 2 channels.

Actually, what you do is find another VHF repeaterized station neither too close nor too far away and try to license that person's input for your input. Since the input signals are comparatively weak, and assuming different PLs, it will usually work. In my experience, this is a lesser fight than getting a high power output channel.
