Post by Skiller »

Hello

When I bought it I thought it was UHF (factory id : H44...) but I just opened it and I saw that :

It's VHF, doesn't it ?
Is it possible to change the quartz ? Because yesterday I bought 4 more saber UHF and they won't be compatible

Thanks in advance

That's the 16.8 MHz reference oscillator (the high stability one at that) which is common to the VHF & the UHF models. Look at the other module part numbers & let us know what they are. From that info we can tell what the freq range is.

ok thanks, I didn't have a proper look , I thought it was 168Mhz.

What should I photograph so that you can deduce the frequency range ?

The module just below the oscillator (as referenced in the photo) should have the part number stamped on it. It should be either NLE9431A, NLE9432A, NLE9433A or NLE9434A (all are UHF modules). This is the receiver's filter, amplifier & mixer.

I removed the oscillator but there was nothing below it.
