" for gm300 gm350 gp300 ht800 ht600e ??? "
Yes for sure on the GM300 series, GP300/350. Not sure on the HT800 and the 600e, but the later HT600 RSS runs fine on the P166, so should work fine on the 486 series computers.
Just as most of us do, make sure to run RSS in real DOS, NO Windows what so ever.. I use a dual boot that will allways boot into REAL DOS on start up, then I can run ALL my RSS. A DOS 6.22 boot disk is also a good idea if yoy run W95OSR2 or anything later, RSS does NOT run in the later Windows 'trash'.

a quick search on ebay using windows 3.1 brought up 85 relaterd items including this http://cgi.ebay.com/WINDOWS-95-ON-14-3- ... dZViewItemjmr3865 wrote:If so, where can I get a copy of windows 3.1?
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
...another one bites the dust....
I dunno... I have a "plan" sheet projecting up to 2008 and it says nada about the Jedi radios.Bob wrote:Don't count on it. Those radios aren't shipping any more, so the clock is ticking for the end of support on those radios.
Says the Astro Saber and LTS2000 are slated to eat it in '08,
Analog Saber, Maxtracs, GM300, GP68 among others in '06,
Analog Spectra, GP300, Minitor III and others this year.
Would be nice to see some gui for the jedi radios...

What does this mean? Mot will stop selling any acessories and stop licensing RSS?Woody_99 wrote: I dunno... I have a "plan" sheet projecting up to 2008 and it says nada about the Jedi radios.

The way I understand it, in loose terms, Motorola will "support" a radio for about 5-7 years then it gets dropped into a phase-out category [no longer manufactured] where they sell out all parts/supplies for a few more years, then everything becomes NLA, no longer available.
Somebody here should have a more in-depth explanation..... anyone?

CPS will not run in Windows 3.11...the only 'windows based' RSS which will run under Win3.11 is the 1225 series and the MTR2000. All others require Windows 95 or greater.jmr3865 wrote:If so, where can I get a copy of windows 3.1?
If you really want a copy of Win3.11 for other purposes, rumour has it you could try typing "win311.zip" in Google and look around...

...lookin' in my windows...
You could indeed.... IF your machine supports minimum '95 requirements...
Always err on the side of 'better safe than sorry'. You should go into your control panel and turn down the port speed to 9600, and uncheck/disable the fifo buffers and what-not. I've never had a problem after doing that in 95.
System requirements for installing Windows 95:
• Personal computer with a 386DX or higher processor (486 recommended)
• 4 megabytes (MB) of memory (8 MB recommended)
• Typical hard disk space required to upgrade to Windows 95: 35-40 MB The actual requirement varies depending on the features you choose to install.
• Typical hard disk space required to install Windows 95 on a clean system: 50-55 MB The actual requirement varies depending on the features you choose to install.
• One 3.5-inch high-density floppy disk drive
• VGA or higher resolution (256-color SVGA recommended)

I'm going to have to disagree with those who say there is no CPS for the GP300/GM300 radios. Been using Windows CPS to program the GP300's I come across.

The photo will not show for some reason, just C/P to see the GP300 screen. http://home.comcast.net/~sllewd/gp300.bmp
The part number for the CPS is ENVN4005D and is version R02.00.00

Depends on where you live. That software is for overseas radios, the only listing 'Motorola North America' has for GP300 RSS is HVN9128D, version 8.02.00. So, nobody in North America is going to have a legal copy of that. I've never seen/used it...I would've thought it would only work for the GP300's with 5-tone signalling & such.Hightower wrote:I'm going to have to disagree with those who say there is no CPS for the GP300/GM300 radios.
