Minitor 4 question.

Post by gcowan99 »

Does anyone know if you can replace the back portion of a minitor 4 case, I seem to have permanently removed the belt clip portion for the rest of the piece. Part #'s would also be greatly appreciated if available!

Thanks in advance for the help!

I along with other ppl have asked that question and the plan and simple answer is NO.

The minitor 4 is suppose to be an IS pager. With that being said only /\/\ can replace the back housing.

However, if someone does access to housings I could use one also as I have an M4 also that lost it's belt clip and now has a nice direct route to the circuit board.

Thanks for the sarcasm, it's always appreciated...

Anyway, we generally allow ebay links if they are used to help identify a Motorola product, or answer a specific Motorola question. Providing a link to showcase the sale of an otherwise unavailable Motorola part is fine, in my opinion.

We don't allow links posted for no apparent reason other than to point out the stupidity/ignorance/whatever of the seller. They serve no purpose here.

I thought there was no tolerance at all.
I posted a nostalgia link to an old Centracom console asking if people remembered working on these. It brought back memories of when I first started in the business. It was yanked so quick my keyboard fingers were burning.
I assumed from that experience that this was as serious as an RSS post.

Thanks for clearing up the policy.

As for the Minitor 4 back cover, we have been promised by Motorola that now the pagers are out of warranty that they will be releasing housing parts. They say this should hapen in first or second quarter of this year.

Yeah, what might be seen as informative/helpful/relevent by one mod/admin might not be seen the same way by another, so that kind of stuff is going to happen. Such is life.
