Seeing that the XTL is an ASTRO radio...off to the ASTRO fourm it goes.

On top of that, a quick check at the Motorola Website brings you:
http://www.motorola.com/governmentanden ... i/id_1644i
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

You're much better off doing a Google search...it'll find the Motorola pages for you way better than the Moto search engine can...

Its an XTL1500, not an XLT1500, that was your problem in doing the initial search.

maratrac

Wow, a maratrac replacement.. I was wondering when that would happen. Seems as if it is the last of the bullet proof radios in the price book that is still available.

Sad to see 'er go... Damn good rig.

No kidding.I see them go used on Ebay for like $350 or so.Sold my last 1 a few weeks ago.Great for lowband systems.
We pulled a Maratrac ouot of a burned up DOT truck after thier Truck Garage caught fire in 2002.The thing still worked even though the vinyl truck seat it was under melted right onto the unit itself. That and a dog chewed Minitor II still kicking and working really amazed me.
