MPL and the ASTRO line of radios

Post by Twisted_Pear »

Has anyone come across an ASTRO radio that features MPL? On about all my analog Spectras I have the feature, but the way programming is you can't associate one frequency with different alias names (or I'm totally missing something). It would make things so much easier to have 5 freqs programmed in and then use MPL to hit the various sites. Btw, this is mostly for 800MHz but my VHF ASTRO Spectra doesn't do MPL.

I don't own any ASTRO Sabers, or an MTS2000 I would need it on; do they normally come with it?

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

To my knowledge, there are no Astro line of radios that support MPL. Yes it would be nice, but I guess to Motorola its a thing of the past. However, someone posted months ago (I think) that he saw or knew of a government model that did support MPL. Since that post, I have not heard anything more..

I would have to agree that programming the same thing in 5 times with different Pl's is a waste of time and space.
