I spoke with QuickMount in March and they told me that the dual head unit will be out mid 2002. I didn't see it yet. They also said that the dual band/single head is coming, but they are having operating system problems.

It's no longer comuing from quickmount, as they could not get the data to function correctly...

Motorla claims it's release is now in Q4.

I'm NOT holding my breath though....

Too bad the MCS2k dual head setup is two arms & a leg.....

Well /\/\ needs to do something like that. after all the Kenwood 630,730,830 series did that and worked great back in around 1992-1993
I had a hi band/uhf set of units with one head and more features than I could ever figure out, and never had a problem with it in 3 years.
Of course /\/\ wil market it is their best invention since sliced bread.
Kinda like in the CB days a company called Royce put out an ad for the first remote cb radio with a control head and under seat radio untill I sent them a picture of my Inrternational Xtal Exec 750 remote cb with a trunk mount tube type box and a control head that had been built and sold almost 10 years earlier. The ad stopped running the next month !!
Oh well just my 2 cents worth 8) Phrawg

Accually Browning had the first true remote mount CB, 1963/4.
And just to not be out done, I had a Motorola "T Power" remote control head and mic on a Johnson 202, 1966.
