ASTRO Problem with transmitting

ASTRO Problem with transmitting

I have a ASTRO SABER III UHF 450 to 520 while transmitting there is a Bad hum in the background when I move it away from my head it’s gone if I put my hand over the keypay it’s back
Or but the radio near me the hum is back has any one hade this Problem before can it be fixt with out sending back to the BIG M or do I need to Go the Big M for a retune

Try checking if all 4 screws are holding the vocoder to the rf board. I think we got our astro saber's from the same guy and I have had some microphonic problems in the past and most were fixed by making sure those damn screws are there and tight.

Thanks the antenna is the Wide-band Whip 403 to 512MHz

Well I opened the radio and it’s missing 2 screws and the shielding
Over the RF board was not locked on properly I put the RF shielding
On properly and now it still has the same problem I just need to find 2 screws
and I hope it fix it
