GP-68 question
Ok I've got a VHF GP-68 when turned on it goes to the freq display, not the channel display. The channel selector knob is acting like a vfo. How do I get it back to the channel display mode when first turned on?? Thanks

Re: GP-68 question
I did this from memory.... I don't own a GP-68 (since there not FCC approved anymore, export radio only.) So at this point...I hope someone will post the answer to your question...wa6apn wrote:jim2121 thanks for the reply to my post. But the x button will toggle the radio back to channel display. Re: GP-68 question
I have one of each flavour and pressing the button labeled <x] toggles the display between VFO and channel.
Whatever "mode" it was left in when I turn it off stays the same when I turn it on. Maybe yours is different?

Re: GP-68 question
Thanks for all the replies. Have the first issue resolved. But another issue has poped up,maybe I'm just missing something. Ok I'm using the programing instructions posted on the web by N2BMP,that said, when I program a freq for ch 1 "146.520" it does take it into memory, can xmit/rcv just fine. Now I go to ch 2 and program "146.640" it stores it in memory just fine,ok here's the hook, I go back and check ch 1,146.520 is gone and 146.640 is now on ch 1 and ch 2. WTF, maybe I just need to keep playing or maybe someone can educate me.Wish I hadn't sold my MT1000. Tom
