XTS3000 upgrade trhough logic board

Post by Josh »

My current XTS3000 has flashcode 1000040000004- basic Smartnet and Apco IMBE digital.

The radio model is H09UCF9PWB7BN- A model 2.

I have the opportunity to buy a logic board for a model III radio with a flashcode of 591008-1e4f00-0 ....there are a number of pluses with this flash code.

Can I get it to plug in and work in my model 2 radio? Would I have to replace the whole logic board of just the Flash memory chips?

Anyone ever do attempt this? The board will probably cost me about $150- which is about half that of a Motorola flash upgrade so while there may be a little work involved, it will end up saving me quite a bit of money.

This just added. The item I am looking to buy is a controller similar to this auction, but for an 800MHz radio: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1376776620

Thanks
