MCS2000 Out Of Band

Post by madfrenchie »

Hello,

I have a VHF MCS2000 Model III with remote head, It is set up to do 136 to 174

I was wondering if it was possible at all to program it on 122.800

I have seen on other posts how to edit the cps with a hex editor to program radios out of band, but before I attempt to do something that that, I'd like to know if its even possible on an MCS2000. and what my best method of approach would be.

I use CPS R02.02.00 to program the radio now.

Thank You in advance for your help

Even if you could hex edit the software, which you probably can't, to go to 122 mHz it wouldn't do you any good because your radio is an FM receiver and the air band is AM.
