Hi I am trying to re program an Astro Saber III and can't get it in to program mode?? I've tried another cable and RIB and also tested the cable/RIB set up on another Astro Saber without a problem. The radio does not show any error codes and works with the current programming i.e. TX/RX's. It goes in to service mode by hitting the ".." 5 times. I have been able to program this radio before this and have opened it up to check contacts and pins?? All it shows is the green LED with nothing on the display while trying to program. I have tried RSS Ver 9.XX and CPS. Any help??

Thanks.

Hmmm...what's the flashcode and firmware version numbers?

I'm wondering if that radio's firmware may be too old for use with the newest software.

Try older software.

Go to the configuration menu and see if the comm port test comes out OK.

If I turn the radio on while connected to the SRIB that's when nothing shows on the display (only the LED lights up, green). I also tried RSS 7.XX with no luck either? All my software is original and have tried it on 2 machines (laptop/desktop) that I have used successfully on other Astro's??
