Well I can say that guy is a great guy to buy from I bought a few things from him and he was quick to ship and very helpful and easy to contact unlike some people out there so if anyone is going to buy it that guy is an okay guy!

Make sure you have current enough firmware or you've got 1000 bucks worth of useless equipment. Image

You are correct on needing current firmware otherwise you can try popping the radio in and out of the XTVA several times with the power applied and if your lucky a radio with older flash may go into remote mode. This shouldn't be a problem with the 3500 but the 3000 need current flash to work with the XTVA. Also if you want to use the XTVA antenna connector you'll need that darn RF adapter part NTN8327A which isn't cheap either.

The same guy that is selling the item we are talking about here is selling an RF adapter for like $60.00 which is alot better than Motorola's $140.00 price and I bought one from him a while back to use with the Public Safety Mic and it worked good and from it looked like never was used so maybe he would hook it up and thrown it in for cheaper maybe if you talked to him??
