Can someone help me with DES board install XTS3000?

Post by RichWill99 »

Hello,

I am trying to duplicate this board to but into another radio.

Can anyone help me?

My problem is I have a XTS3000 model 2 and 3. I want to put in a DES board in both and not sure where and how it goes. First my radio I want to duplicate gives the following data when you put it in the service mode:

EMC R03.42

R7.03.00

DSPN 07.03.012

EMC 3.43

KG1 DES-OFB
KG2 DES-XL

What part number and board do I need to replace this board?

and where does the board go?

below is a pic..I circled the area I think the board goes...Can you tell me if this correct and what is the part number for the board I need to duplicate the board? The area I think it goes is behind the DTMF pad in a white pin connector???

THANKS to anyone that can help me.

Rich

PS If you can't see the pic please email me [email protected] and I will send you a pic...

I don't recall the PN offhand but the board only fits one way. It does go into that white connector and only fits in one way. Once you do get the board and attempt it, it ought to be plain obvious.

Make sure you enable the board in the RSS/CPS.

Thanks,

I need to find the part Number to order two boards for my radios. What info do you need from me to make sure I am getting the right board?

Where in RSS do you tell it what kind of board it is or do you just select yes for hardware ecryption?

Do you know anything about XTS MTVA?

I got one but I cant get the display mike to work...Can you help me trouble shoot ?

Thanks Again,

Rich
