Astro Saber need a secure bypass module in it?

Post by KG6EAQ »

I was looking inside my AS3 today and there is a space in the bottom for some sort of option board, it would be connected via the same type of connector as the LCD panel to the logic board. Is this space for a bypass module? Is it even for a secure module? Could not having something in that spot cause an error?

If your radio is programmed for being secure equiped you will receive the error code for no secure module if there isn't on there. Otherwise you can leave it empty....no bypass modules needed.

Thanks! I thought that's what Elroy said a long time ago but I couldn't find his post. Thanks!
