ASTRO SABER 3 PROBLEMS

I HOPE SOME CAN HELP ME.

I JUST GOT A ASTRO SABER 3 450 TO 512 AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO US IT FOR WORK. MY PROBLEM IS I HAVE ENTERED THE DIGITAL ACCESS CODE FOR OUR REPEATERS AND IT WORKS. HERES THE PROBLEM. I HAVE TO SOME TIMES KEY UP THE RADIO APPROX. 8-10 SECONDS BEFORE I CAN KEY UP REPEATER. IT IS TRANSMITING W/ NO PROBLEM ON THE INPUT AND THE REPEATER WILL NOT REBROADCAST IT. THEN AFTER APPROX 8-10 SEC'S IT STARTS TO REBROADCAST THE TRANSMISSION. THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. I KNOW IT HAS TO BE A PROGRAMING THING. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

If you are monitoring the input, and it sounds good, most likely its a repeater problem, or your radio is out of adjustment, by alot, or its something else.

How exactly are you "accessing" the repeater, and is anyone else having a problem.

Also, are you using low power? Check your programming to see if the channel is programmed as a low power mode (if that exists, don't remember) and/or see if you have a low power key in your radio's menu, and change it to high. Could be as simple as that.

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT IT IS A ADUSTMENT PROBLEM BUT WHEN IT TRANSIMTS NORMAL AFTER APPORX. 5-10 SECONDS I TEND TO THINK IT IS IN MY PROGRAMING. THERE HAS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH ONE OF MY SETTINGS. I MEAN SOMETIME IT TRANSMITS RIGHT AWAY LIKE IT SUPPOSE TO. BEATS ME. THANKS PJ

Ok, maybe I am not following...

It it just one repeater or many? How about with other radios on simplex?

Are we using CSQ or PL's?
