Talon Mount (reliable)
Looking for sugggestions on how to mount the Whelen Talon, using something other than the suction cup mounts that come with the unit. Talon will be installed in an '03 Tahoe, and I'm pretty sure that I'll have to come up with something custom. Has anyone seen this light through factory blue tint? What kind of degradation are we talking about here? Thanks.

From my experience, leds are really cut down bad behind tint.. strobes seem to shine through better.
I'd take the suction cups out and screw the talon in through the suction cup holes
appears to be what they did here..

In the new tahoes: Take down the center overhead unit where the compass is - Use standard cable ties to mount the light. Works very well and doesnt block too much of the light. Works real well!

mounting
Take the top bracket that has the suction cups on it. put it over the top on the rearview mirror so it suctions to the mirror. then take the other bracket attacted to the light an attatch in underneath the mirror. Walla it fits perfect an looks really good. I did this on a chevy impala an dodge dakota.
good
Yah one day i was trying to get it actually to fit in a sebring an nothing worked then that idea popped in my head an its been working ever since. Im glad it works for you.
