Which mobiles can decode QC-II A-B / A-C format?

Post by nmfire10 »

Which mobiles can decode QC-II in the A-B / A-C format? I know there are many that can A-B and a Long B or C but that doesn't help. I need a single channel to decode A-B & A-C. I'm going to use it as a control station for a 'station alert' at my house so it doesn't need to be complex. I know the CDM's can do it. If I can pick one up cheap, that would be great but there has to be some inexpensive alternatives out there.

Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"

As long as a Maxtrac can do A-B A-C on one channel, that sounds GREAT! I just want to be sure it can do it before I spend money on it.

even if it won't do a-b a-c on the same channel you should be able to program two identical channels with a-b on one and a-c on the other and scan both channels, however I haven't tried it just speculating from what I have tried. The only downside I see is if it locks on the channel with a-b and the tomes for a-c are being paged it won't pick up

That won't work because it will still only hear one or the other. If the scan lands on on the channel programmed with A-B and the tones go out as A-C, it won't alert.

Will any of the new pagers work? I think they can be setup that way with two sets of tones and alert on either. I am not sure if there is an out of the box adaptor that is available or not. Pagers are not my thing.

Of course they will, that is how we page right now. But my new place is in an RF black hole and I can't receive pages there. I'm going to use a control station to do it instead.

A maxtrac will work for what you are looking for. What bandwidth do you need? I have one that I would consider selling and can program it for you if you would be interested.
