Which mobiles can decode QC-II A-B / A-C format?
Which mobiles can decode QC-II in the A-B / A-C format? I know there are many that can A-B and a Long B or C but that doesn't help. I need a single channel to decode A-B & A-C. I'm going to use it as a control station for a 'station alert' at my house so it doesn't need to be complex. I know the CDM's can do it. If I can pick one up cheap, that would be great but there has to be some inexpensive alternatives out there.

As long as a Maxtrac can do A-B A-C on one channel, that sounds GREAT! I just want to be sure it can do it before I spend money on it.

even if it won't do a-b a-c on the same channel you should be able to program two identical channels with a-b on one and a-c on the other and scan both channels, however I haven't tried it just speculating from what I have tried. The only downside I see is if it locks on the channel with a-b and the tomes for a-c are being paged it won't pick up
That won't work because it will still only hear one or the other. If the scan lands on on the channel programmed with A-B and the tones go out as A-C, it won't alert.firemanfox wrote:even if it won't do a-b a-c on the same channel you should be able to program two identical channels with a-b on one and a-c on the other and scan both channels, however I haven't tried it just speculating from what I have tried. Will any of the new pagers work? I think they can be setup that way with two sets of tones and alert on either. I am not sure if there is an out of the box adaptor that is available or not. Pagers are not my thing.
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

Of course they will, that is how we page right now. But my new place is in an RF black hole and I can't receive pages there. I'm going to use a control station to do it instead.
