Stupid question? How do I ID a Bravo Plus?

Post by EEnerd »

I have 2 pagers, I think they are Bravo plus but I'm not sure. How can I tell?
They look like the old Bravos (that I remember from the early 1990s) but with slightly rounded edges. Are any/all Bravo Plus FLEX?

Thanks

Is there any way you could post a photo? Or try searching Google Images for Bravo Plus.
Analog already is interoperable.

it doesn't seem as if this forum supports attachments. Do you know somewhere I could host a picture easily?
I used google images, but it's kind of hard to tell

Looks like they both have 7 digit numeric capcodes printed on the case, so I can safely assume they are POCSAG not FLEX?

Here's a picture. I have 2. one is 929 and one is 931 mhz. Note the programming contacts are 3 pieces of tin, not the normal PCB traces or pads.
Otherwise it looks pretty much like an old Bravo. How do I know this isn't a "bravo classic" or some other bravo?

VHF Bravo Plus has a clock on display. Bravo does not.

Actually, FLEX can have either 7 or 9 digit capcodes.

I thought FLEX capcodes always started with a letter?

I've programmed a few Advisor Elites on FLEX and only needed numbers for the capcodes, no letters.

... They are BRAVO Plus POCSAG pagers.

IIRC the Bravo Plus was never made in a FLEX model.

End of story. Concurrence, TPG?

yup

3 programming tabs = Bravo or Lifestyle Plus. POCSAG Only.
Only difference between the two, Bravo was black, Lifestyle had different colors. All the same program...

hehehe... that took awhile!
