The only License Free/Business Band 800 freq is 815.xxx, I think. I know there was only like 1 800 initerant frequency.

But seconding Josh, the DTR portables are license free! :)

Business Itinerant does not mean license free.

as far as the DTR is concerned however, it is license free as it uses spread spectrum digital frequency hopping technology in the 900Mhz band, much like newer 900Mhz cordless phones do.

The DTR line has been discussed here frequently in the past, you may want to do a search.

My bad.

NO, not FREE.

But Business/Itinterant frequency, at least I'm pretty sure there was 1 at one time.

853.4875/808.4875

It's not license-free, though, and it'll be going away when rebanding comes down. I doubt you'd be able to get a new license for it at this stage of the game regardless.

Though, it might behoove you to plug it into an XTS at Dayton and listen in IMBE with digital carrier squelch enabled. 8)
