I have an upcoming project that will require me to pull out the factory console out of a 04 Ford Explorer SLT and install a Troy Console with NHD Floor mount.
Has anyone ever done one of these? I've installed the Jotto Console that uses the factory console as a base, but have never pulled out the whole console.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ryan

- What radios do you own?: Alot..
I have. Remove the factory console all the way. Hopefully it doesnt have the rear radio controls, otherwise its a real pain. It may have the traction control switch in the console that can be mounted on one of the faceplates. Make sure that you use the a baseplate with some kind of bale bracket to mount to the factory mounting holes. I was able to use the original front of the console. I just measured it and cut it to length. It came out pretty nice.

Do my eyes deceive me, or is that an AOI airbag disable mounted to the right side of the console/dash? Can you elaborate on what was required to purchase and install the unit? I'm in need of an airbag disable for my '05 F350, as I don't want either myself or the passenger to eat an MW800 display in the event of a wreck.
Any and all details would be most appreciated.
